Missy's Potato Soup

3-cups diced ham
1-cups chopped carrots
4-cups diced potatoes
1/2-cup butter
1/2-cup flour
4-cups milk
4-cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 package Bud's Corn Sauce Dry Mix
1/2-cup cream
Salt and Pepper

Combine four cups water, potatoes and carrots in large pot.
Add a dash each salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
In another pan melt butter and whisk in flour. Gradually add milk until thickened. Add Bud's Corn Sauce dry mix and mix well. Lastly, add cheese and stir until melted.
After vegetables are finished simmering, do not drain and add cheese mixture and ham. Simmer for 25 minutes. Add 1/2 cup cream and simmer for 5 more minutes. Enjoy!
